I offer individual therapy for adults who are looking for a better understanding of themselves, strategies for behavior change, or support during challenging times. I currently specialize in active eating disorders/disordered eating, particularly for clients in the LGBTQ+ community and/or midlife. I also enjoy working with people experiencing traits of borderline personality disorder or attachment trauma. If you are interested in therapy but are not exactly aligned with these experiences, please do reach out! We can determine together if I still may be a good fit or if I can make a helpful referral.
Therapy
Live meal supports are a great option for folks who may need or want extra accountability in eating disorder recovery. If you are looking for support completing your meal plan or nutrition requirements, a provider to help you identify and reduce food rituals when eating, or some additional practice implementing skills during meal times, meal supports can help. I have experience providing in person and virtual meal supports to groups and individuals from my work at multiple eating disorder treatment centers and in private practice. I collaborate with outpatient teams, as well, so if you are working with an outpatient therapist, dietitian, and/or psychiatrist, they are always getting the most updated clinical information. Meal supports may be scheduled virtually or we can discuss options for restaurant outings/exposures when appropriate.
MEAL SUPPORTS
Perhaps you are a clinician whose client is exploring their gender or sexuality and you are looking for supervision from a professional with lived experience in the LGBTQ+ community. Perhaps your client has disclosed that they have an eating disorder and you feel unsure of the next best steps or if they need a higher level of care. I offer supervision and consultation for mental health professionals looking for guidance in topics such as LGBTQ+ affirming care, working with eating disorders, and clinicians who are curious about how their own lived experiences or struggles show up in their clinical work.
SUPERvISION AND CONSULTING
My experience as an Adjunct Instructor at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work has allowed me to delve into the world of teaching, and I am so grateful to have found this passion. In addition to teaching graduate courses, I have given presentations and spoken on panels on topics including body image in the aging process and considerations in treating transgender clients with eating disorders. I enjoy public speaking and giving talks to therapy practices looking to expand their expertise and clinical knowledge. I also work with mental health facilities and higher levels of care to expand or adjust their therapeutic programming, facility, and documentation to be more queer and trans-affirming as well as more accessible for neurodivergent clients. Lastly, I offer trainings to businesses and companies looking to make their work environments more body neutral, less fatphobic, and safer for people in all body sizes.
